## Description

Yap MCP is a free, open-source MCP server (MIT) that lets Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and any MCP client transcribe local audio and video files (WAV, MP3, M4A, MP4, FLAC, OGG, Opus, WebM and more) entirely on your computer with NVIDIA Parakeet TDT v3. It detects 25 European languages automatically, offers optional timestamps, and has a read-only search of the Yap dictation history. No upload, no API key, no account. The speech model downloads once and then works offline. Runs locally over stdio on macOS, Windows and Linux with Node.js 20 or later: npx -y github:founden-bot/yap-mcp.
